• Helpdesk Support / 1st Line IT Support - ELP880

    My client, a global manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Cheltenham, are currently looking for a Helpdesk Support to join their team on a permanent basis.

    The role will include providing first line IT Help Desk support for PC’s and software, including troubleshooting for corporate IT customers. You may be required to provide support offsite on occasion if a local IT contact is unavailable, so a driving license is essential.

    Responsibilities/Duties;
    -
    Providing first line IT support to incoming customer requests via a ticket system
    - Preparing and configuring PCs for distribution
    - Assisting with training staff on new PCs/systems
    - Deploy approved software to all internal systems
    - Writing and maintaining IT systems and procedures
    - Working alongside Network Administrators to provide local network support

    Candidate Attributes;
    - Hands on experience with desktops and laptops
    - Experience in providing support with desktops/laptops
    - Excellent Customer Service skills
    - Excellent verbal, communication and interpersonal skills
    - Working knowledge of Networking
    - Working knowledge of account management using MS Windows Server Active Directory and MS Exchange
    - Experience with CheckPoint EndPoint/Firewalls, RSA SecureID, Kaspersky AV is advantageous
    - Full UK driving license

     

    Hours - 35 Hour Week to be worked between 8am -6pm Monday to Friday
    Salary - £17,000 - £20,000 DOE
